John Locke
John Locke obtained his education at Oxford University and obtained a bachelor's degree in 1656 and a full degree in 1658. As a teenager, he was very interested in science and at the age of thirty-six years old, he was elected as the member of the "Royal Society." John Locke asserted that the curriculum should be directed for the sake of individual intelligence, ability, and privilege of children in mastering knowledge, and not on the knowledge which was commonly taught by arbitrary punishment.
